Mid-Triennium Meeting (2004)

TTAM won its bid to host the Mid-Triennium Meeting and conference of ICM in April 2004, the first time the Caribbean has been given the opportunity to host a meeting/conference if the ICM 450 participants from 35 nations attended. More significantly was the conference of the Columbia University Award to Venus Mark. This award is presented annually to a midwife who has demonstrated the potential to act as a change agent in her country and has the ability to support the strengthening of the midwifery association. One award is given in each ICM region. The Americas region is composed of Canada, Latin and South America; and the Carribbean.
